Maple syrup sweetens up this hot cider, while the spiced butter gives it a rich, smooth flavor that makes it a particularly soothing drink. Fill up a mug and reminisce about cold, wintry days gone by.
INGREDIENTS
1 bottle (16 oz.) apple cider
1/2 c. pure maple syrup
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
Yields 8 servings
DIRECTIONS
In slow cooker over low heat, cook apple cider with maple syrup for twenty minutes or until steaming. In small bowl, combine butter, nutmeg, and allspice. Mix well. Pour cider into mugs and top with a teaspoon of spiced butter.
