Burlap Hi Card

Handmade cards are a great way to show you care. Use these free instructions to learn how to make this card. With these simple card-making steps, you'll have a finished card to send to a loved one!

SUPPLIES:  Cardstock: (white) Michaels  Patterned paper: (Stitched, White Wood from On The Bright Side collection) My Mind's Eye  Specialty ink: (Bazzill Parakeet shimmer spray) Tattered Angels  Stickers: (Mini Alphas alphabet) Sassafras Lass  Fibers: (teal floral trim) Webster's Pages  Other: (burlap) Michaels; (white canvas) Fredrix  Finished size: 4" x 5"

 

1 Make card from cardstock; cover with patterned paper.

2 Trim burlap strip, fray edges, and adhere. Adhere patterned paper strip.

3 Cut leaves from canvas, fray edges, and spray with ink. Cut flower from trim, mat with burlap, and adhere leaves. Adhere to card.

4 Affix stickers to spell "Hi".

 

Designer Tip

Canvas is a great material for adding texture and it is easily colored with spray ink.
