SUPPLIES: Patterned paper: (assorted from Girl Friday collection) Cosmo Cricket Accents: (assorted buttons) Fibers: (pink ribbon) May Arts; (cream crochet thread) Die: (butterfly) QuicKutz Tool: (butterfly punch) Marvy Uchida Other: (silver wire) Artistic Wire; (wood embroidery hoop) Finished size: 8" diameter x 48" length
BUTTERFLY LINES
1 Punch 20 butterflies from patterned papers.
2 Die-cut 20 butterflies from patterned papers.
3 Trim five 36" lengths of crochet thread. Adhere two buttons together at end of each length.
4 Adhere two butterfly die cuts together 2" above buttons on each length. Note: adhere only center body parts of butterflies.
5 Repeat Step 3, 2" above butterflies, on each length. Repeat Step 4, using two punched butterflies. Repeat pattern twice, alternating die cut and punched butterflies.
ASSEMBLE
1 Remove inside hoop from embroidery hoop. Tie butterfly lines to inside hoop; apply glue to knots.
2 Cut four 15" lengths of wire and attach to inside hoop. Gather all wires at top and twist into hook.
3 Adhere ribbon to outside hoop. Adhere outside hoop to inside hoop.
