Flowers for Teacher Gift Card Bouquet |

SUPPLIES: Cardstock: (red, white) Paper: (lined notebook) Patterned paper: (Scrap Strip 3 from Rockland collection) Scenic Route Dye ink: (Summer Sun, Ballet Blue, Real Red) Stampin' Up! Accents: (blue, yellow, red buttons; paper leaves) Stickers: (Simply Sweet alphabet) Doodlebug Design Fibers: (yellow printed ribbon) Creative Impressions Adhesive: (green florist tape) Other: (floral wire, lightweight craft wire, can, wood skewer) Finished sizes: can 3" diameter x 4 1/2" height, each flower approx. 4 1/2" in diameter, card holder 5" x 3 1/4"
CAN
1 Trim patterned paper; adhere.
2 Tie ribbon around can.
FLOWER
1 Cut five 2 1/2" x 6" pieces of notebook paper; ink all edges.
2 Fold each in half to 2 1/2" x 3"; use wood skewer to curl each corner.
3 Gather on fold line, wrap with craft wire, leaving length of wire. Repeat on other four pieces.
4 Attach length of wire to button; wrap around center of one piece from step 3.
5 Nestle "petals" on top of each other, grasping wires together and manipulating into flower. Note: Button should go on top.
6 Twist wires together; add floral wire stem, and wrap with floral tape. Add leaves if desired. Repeat steps to create additional flowers; place in can.
GIFT CARD HOLDER
1 Cut two pieces red cardstock.
2 Trim white cardstock and adhere to one piece of red.
3 Stitch edges several times; ink over stitching.
4 Add other piece of red to back and stitch three sides to form pocket.
5 Adhere buttons and spell sentiment with stickers.
6 Adhere to skewer and place in can.
Designer Tip
Attach the gift card holder to a brand new No. 2 pencil for an added academic touch!
