Clear stamp: (sentiment from Mixed Messages set) Papertrey Ink Dye ink: (Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko; (Chamomile) Papertrey Ink Specialty ink: (Pure Poppy hybrid) Papertrey Ink Color media: (red glitter pen, gray marker) Copic Accents: (yellow buttons) Papertrey Ink Fibers: (red ribbon) Papertrey Ink; (white string) Dies: (tag, scalloped border) Spellbinders Tool: (corner rounder punch) Marvy Uchida; (1/8" circle punch) Finished size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
1 Make card from cardstock. Round right corners.
2 Round right corners of patterned paper panel, sand edges, and mat with cardstock; round right corners of mat.
3 Adhere patterned paper strip; stitch.
4 Die-cut border from patterned paper; sand edges and mat with die-cut cardstock border. Adhere to panel and zigzag-stitch seam.
5 Tie on ribbon and adhere panel. Adhere buttons.
6 Die-cut and emboss tag from cardstock; stamp sentiment and ink edges. Punch circle, thread with string, and tie to ribbon. Adhere tag.
7 Stamp apron on patterned papers and paper-piece together. Accent with glitter pen and marker; adhere using foam tape.
Designer Tip
When paper piecing, trim very closely, preferable ON the stamped line rather than outside of it. If you trim on the line and attach overlapping images very precisely, the seam should not show.
