SUPPLIES: Cardstock: (white, black) Patterned paper: (Glitter Poinsettia Red from Fa La La Collection) Making Memories Color medium: (black chalk) Craf-T Products Accents: (red button) Making Memories; (silver jingle bell) Fibers: (black dotted ribbon) May Arts; (black string) Font: (Santa’s Sleigh) www.dafont.com Software: (word processing) Microsoft Adhesive: (foam tape) Making Memories Tool: (decorative-edge scissors) Fiskars Finished size: 5 1/2" square
1 Make card from cardstock.
2 Type “Merry” repeatedly and print on cardstock. Trim, chalk edges, and adhere to card.
3 Adhere patterned paper. Adhere ribbon over seam.
4 Type “Merry” in 2" circle using software; print on cardstock. Trim into circle and chalk edges. Mat with cardstock circle and trim with decorative-edge scissors; adhere with foam tape.
5 Thread string through button and tie on jingle bell; adhere.
Designer Tip
Alisa likes using the Word Art feature in Microsoft Word to print text in a circle and many other shapes.
