Corn Pop Candy | Download (PDF)
Stacy Croninger

This recipe was given to me years ago. At that time, you could only find corn pops around Christmas. Now these puffy corn pieces are available year-round. Think cheese puffs without cheese; that’s corn pops. I used to only make them for the holidays, but now they are popular all year long and disappear within a day or two.
1 large bag corn pops (found on the chip aisle)
3 cubes butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
5 tbsp. white corn syrup
5 tbsp. water
Pour corn pops in a large bowl; set aside. In saucepan, mix remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; boil for 4 minutes. Pour over corn pops; stir until completely coated. Cool and serve. These can be stored in an airtight container for several days.
