SUPPLIES: Color medium: (black pen) Accents: (red button) JHB International; (metal-rimmed tag) Making Memories; (ball chain) Fibers: (red polka dot ribbon) May Arts; (red floss) DMC Other: (green felt) Kunin Felt Finished size: 4 1/2" x 3 3/4"
1 Cut felt in 6" square; fold so each corner meets in middle.
2 Stitch bottom two seams together.
3 Fold top flap over stitched seams slightly more than halfway; lightly press with iron.
4 Stitch folded edge with red floss using blanket stitch; cut slit in flap for buttonhole.
5 Stitch button on with red floss; tie ribbon around button.
6 Write sentiment on tag; attach chain to tag and hang on button. Close flap.
Designer Tip
Good news! Felt does not fray, so you can cut buttonholes or decorative edges with no worries.
