How to Use

Our swap forum is a fun way for you to get involved in swaps! Here are some tips to using our swap forum.

1. To start or join a swap, you need to be a site member. If you have shopped from our store before, you already are a member. It's free to become a member, and we will respect and protect your privacy. If you have registered on our sister sites creatingkeepsakes.com or simplescrapbooksmag.com, you can log in with the same e-mail address and password. To change your login information, log in and click Edit Profile.

2. To start a swap, simply click the "start a new swap" button on the swaps home page. Fill out the host form, and your swap will immediately be created. You can return later and edit your swap description, deadline and number of participants. To use the swap management features, your participants must sign up through the web site rather than e-mail you directly. When people sign up through the site, the number of spots available will update and each participant will be added to your master list, allowing you to send messages to your whole list with a single click.

You can choose to be notified by e-mail every time someone signs up for or drops your swap.

You can see the name and e-mail address of your swap participants by logging in and selecting "Manage Your Swaps." Use our quick contact form to send a message to all swap participants to notify them of changes, send reminders, or just say "hi." The message to the participants will display as coming from your e-mail address, and participants can reply directly to you. Make sure to notify swap participants of any significant changes to the swap description or deadline.

After a swap's deadline has passed, the swap will display under Closed Swaps for a limited time (approximately four weeks). During that time the swap can still be accessed and updated, but no new participants can join.

3. To join a swap, simply follow the link to sign up from each swap's description page. Make sure you sign up through the web site rather than directly e-mailing the host so the host can use the fun management features we've built. You can only join swaps with open spots. If you have a question about a swap, you can contact the host before joining the swap.

4. Any site member can post messages to each swap; you do not have to be a participant in a swap to post messages.

5. If you forget your login password, fill out the forgotten password form.

6. Paper Crafts magazine offers this free service for your enjoyment and fun. However, we are not liable for the actions of those who participate in swaps or post messages, and we offer no guarantees. Please use good judgment in sharing personal information with others; make sure you feel comfortable associating with those in the swaps you want to join. If you have questions about how to use the swap forum or suggestions to improve the forum, you can contact us at craftsonline@primedia.com.

Enjoy!
